Directors Nimrod Dix, Pierce Noonan and Christopher Webb, together with coin and commemorative medal specialist Peter Preston-Morley, are all familiar faces on the British numismatic scene, each having spent some of their formative years at one or more of the country's leading auction houses and dealers. Our staff are backed up by a worldwide team of expert regional representatives and consultants.

We held our first auction of Orders, Decorations and Medals in 1991. Since then we have sold many important collections, including that of naval medals formed by the late Capt. KJ Douglas-Morris which realised £660,000 - the highest price ever achieved at auction for a single-owner collection of medals. Over the past ten years we have handled 18 Victoria Crosses, including the Cross awarded to Private Robert Jones of the 24th Foot for his courageous action during the defence of Rorke's Drift which sold for a remarkable £94,000 - and the auction was televised live on satellite news.

We have held over 50 auctions of Coins, Tokens, Historical and Art Medals and Banknotes since our inception. Particular highlights include the sale of the Capt. Peter Arnot collection of Anglo-Saxon coins, the R.C. Bell collection of British trade tokens and the Norman Brodie collection of Scottish medals.

By maximising the benefits of information technology to our business, we have developed a state of the art Catalogue Publishing and Auction System. This enables us to turn our cataloguers' text and electronic images into a searcheable, fully illustrated Internet Catalogue within minutes of the last lot being entered, with printed catalogues often being despatched just three days later! These production efficiencies benefit buyers and vendors alike and the integrated back office system ensures speedy processing of all transactions.
