Rachel joined DNW’s jewellery department in 2020, bringing with her over 10 years' experience in the jewellery auction industry.Rachel studied for her degree in History of Art at the University of Warwick, spending her final year in Venice. After graduating in 2012, and being fluent in German, she moved to Cologne to work for Kunsthaus Lempertz. In 2013, Rachel joined Bonhams auctioneers in Edinburgh as their jewellery and silver specialist, moving in 2016 to the jewellery department in Bonhams Knightsbridge and in 2018 was promoted to their New Bond Street jewellery department, where she was responsible for sourcing jewellery across the UK and Europe, with a particular focus on Germany. She recently oversaw the white glove sale of jewellery in the antique collection of Munich-based gallerist Alain Morvan in 2019.
Rachel holds both the FGA and DGA gemmology qualifications and was notably awarded the Bruton Medal for attaining the highest results worldwide in her diamond grading examinations.
Rachel is married and lives in central London.
