William IV (1830-1837), 1837, obv. struck from a Half-Sovereign die, 2.81g/5h (Davies –; ESC –; S 3836). Obverse scored and with edge damage, otherwise very fine, extremely rare, the variety unpublished in any of the main references £200-300


The bust is markedly smaller than the normal sixpence bust, leaving a larger gap above the head and below the truncation
