Thomas Langford is recorded at 50 Fleet Street 1768-97; he was Warden of the Cutler’s Company in 1776. (The dotted script distinguishes from his father who worked from the same address).

Michael barnett is recorded as a hiltmaker circa 1784-1791.

The unusual length of the blade would suggest use as a cutto for evening walking-out wear.
