Life Guard officer’s full dress sword, the straight fullered 80cm blade by J Jones, 6 Regent Street, London, plain but for retailers details, retaining almost all original finish, typical copper-gilt hilt boat-shell guard, the inner half folding down, wood grip bound with silver wire distinctive flat pommel, gold bullion sword knot, complete with its black leather scabbard with copper-gilt locket and chape, minor wear to gilding of scabbard mounts and leather a little worn otherwise fine condition £350-400
