United States of America, George III, an Indian Chief struck medal, c. 1775-1812, in silver, unsigned, armoured bust right, single row of curls, eight rivets in armour, rev. crowned arms and supporters, paw of lion to i in honi, 77mm, 96.38g (Adams 7:3; Jamieson 14; Betts 435; E 736; cf. J.J. Ford XVI, 67). Some scuffing, has been lightly cleaned in the past but now beginning to re-tone, otherwise about very fine, very rare; original suspension loop (£3,000-4,000)
