Military Medal, G.V.R., with Second Award Bar (9836 Pte., 3/Essex R.); 1914-15 Star Trio (9836 Pte., Essex R.); French Medaille d’Honneur, bronze with swords and wreath, polished and pitted from contact wear, therefore good fine (5) £300-400

Private Hubert W. Grimwade landed in the Balkans, for Gallipoli, on 17 May 1915. He later transferred to the 10th Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers as, Private No. 46774, winning a Bar to his M.M. and the French decoration, and was discharged on 29 March 1919.
