Early Period, South Saxon (c. 720-750), Sceatta, series G, diademed bust right with cross in front, reverse standard with pellet in annulet in centre, three saltires and a triangle of pellets in angles, 1.01gm (Metcalf, NC 1966, type M; BMC 3a; N. 43; S. 808). Good silver, very fine and toned, rare (£100-120)
