Cnut (1016-1035), Penny, Quatrefoil type, Huntingdon, Eadnoth, EDNOD MΩO HVN, early phase of die-cutting [‘Northampton A’] with long face and heavy jaw, legend ends ANGEL, 1.05gm (B & L, ASMH p.240; cf. Arnot 196; N. 781; S. 1157). Typical barbarous Northampton style, slightly weak at top of obverse otherwise very fine, very rare (£200-250)
