A steel cased Goliath pocket watch, the white enamel dial with thick black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute divisions, gilt spade hands, high bevelled glass, the keyless wind movement numbered 73163, in polished steel case, contained in a silver mounted easel back travelling case, hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, maker’s mark ‘H W Ltd’, diameter 65.5mm, travelling case 11cm high. £240-280

Condition Report

The watch is in good condition, just a very fine hairline crack to the very edge of the dial, (between numeral 1 and 2), the glass appears in good condition. The case has light surface wear only. There are scratches at the point of opening the back cover. The silver fronted case has wear to the high points with some holes visible on close inspection. The leatherette case has been later painted with a glossy red paint. The silk purple velvet lining is worn. We recommend all watches purchased at auction will require a full service.
