The Royal Irish Rifles Officers’ Pouch Belt Plates, the first 1881 - 1901 in die cast silver plate displaying a QVC, shamrock sprays, the Maid and Harp, Sphinx/Egypt, unit title and strung bugle horn, complete with shaped backing plate and three screw post fasteners; the second of post-1902 pattern is in die stamped hall marked silver (J.R.G & S Birmingham 1926), it displays a KC similar emblems to the preceding item but the shamrocks overlaid with battle honours and a scroll below the Sphinx/Egypt ‘South Africa 1899 - 1902’, three screw post fasteners, very good condition (2) £300-£400
