An 18ct gold, ruby and diamond spray brooch, composed of cascading stylised textured leaves mounted with a cluster of claw set cabochon rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds and with further ruby and diamond highlights, stamped to the reverse for 18ct gold with import mark for Birmingham, 1962 and maker’s mark ‘RHR’, with two prong pin fitting, contained in fitted maroon leather case by Garrard & Co., length 60mm. £2,200-£3,000

Condition Report

Total estimated diamond weight: 0.42 carats (composed of estimated weights 0.03-0.04 carats each x 14 stones in total), diamonds bright and lively.
Rubies total estimated weights 4.20 carats (composed of estimated weights 0.15 x 0.20 carats, 28 in total), some surface abrasions and cracks to the cabochon rubies, well matched colour. Gross weight of brooch 35.2gm. Garrard box in good condition to the exterior, very slight scratches to the base only. Some slight staining on the cream velvet beneath the brooch.
