The Special Boat Service is the special forces unit of the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy. In 2003 the unit were given their own cap badge with the motto ‘By Strength and Guile. Traditionally manned mostly by Royal Marines Commandos, their principle roles include special reconnaissance, offensive action and Military counter terrorism.
