Roman, bronze Hippocampus Plate Brooch, 2nd cent. AD, 2.5cm x 2cm, horse/fish creature facing right with two galloping front legs, at the rear is a large dorsal fin with a curved fin on its back, surface of the body with recessed panels in which some blue enamel remains. Complete with green patina and around 30% of the enamel remaining £120-£150
