Groat, class D, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, bust similar to that of Robert II, no pellet behind, tressure of six arcs, rev. pellet in first and second quarters, 4.16g/5h (SCBI 35, –; cf. B 297-8; S 5100/5101). Striking crack at 8 o’clock and hairline scratches on obverse, otherwise very fine with attractive dark tone, rare (£150-200)
