Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Thrymsa, Ultra-Crondal period, Wvneetton type, draped bust right with flowing hair, three diadem ties behind head, trident in field before face, rev. wvneetton (es retrograde), cross potent within double beaded centre circle, 1.26g/9h (SCBI BM 14, same dies; SCBI Abramson 4 var. [blundered rev. legend]; M 77; N 26; S 761). Very fine, lightly toned and very rare with a pleasingly expressive portrait £3,000-£4,000
