The only Baltic medals to the British Army were those issued to the Royal Engineers and Royal Sappers & Miners. Although no medal roll survives approximately 106 medals are thought to have been presented, all officially impressed.Sapper George Casson was a brickmaker who, after participating in the operations in the Baltic, died of sickness in camp before Sebastopol on 26 November 1855.
