Duncairn, Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland, 1830, a silver award medal by J. Woodhouse, cornucopiæ, rev. wreath, named (Awarded to Adam J. Macrory, Esq, Duncairn, Co Antrim, for the best Eighteen Variegated Plants, August 1863), 46mm. Tiny obverse rim nick, otherwise extremely fine and attractive (£60-80)


Adam John Macrory (†March 1881, aged 81). The recipient is on the 1861 census records for Duncairn and is shown as owning 85 acres of land there in the late 1870s
