England, Sterling Bust Jetons, c. 1280-1345, Edward I, unofficial crowned bust facing within tressure, diex vovs gart beav sire, rev. short cross fleurdelisé within tressure, 2.76g/1h (cf. Barnard 58; Berry type 6; Mitchiner 329). Some surface corrosion, otherwise fine or better, rare £40-60

Footnote

Berry places this among the Wardrobe counters of Edward III, presumably because of the legends. Stylistically, however, it appears to belong to an earlier period, perhaps around 1300, although Mitchiner attributes it to the Anglo-Gallic territories under Henry VI
