Footnote

George Pearson was appointed Lieutenant in the 81st Foot on 21 May 1807. He served with the 2nd Battalion in Spain and was wounded at Corunna. Promoted to Captain on 25 June 1812, he was placed on half-pay on 25 March 1816.
