Great Britain, George II, c. 1760, a red wax portrait on blackened glass, perhaps by T. or L. Pingo, bewigged and armoured bust right, 65mm (cf. BDM IV, 558-9). Good fine and an exceptionally rare survivor £200-250

Forrer describes a piece, almost certainly this, but as George III, "young head, in a wig; wax painted red, on circular sheet of glass painted black on the other side"
