First coinage, Merk, 1664, type II, leaved thistle below bust, 6.20g/12h (D 16; M 12; SCBI 35, 1575; B 1; S 5611; KM. 102.1). Characteristic die flaw through g of gra, a few light adjustment marks and evidence of possible mounting on reverse at 4 o’clock, otherwise about very fine, rare £400-500
