Lieutenant Henry Peachey was severely wounded at the final attack on the Redan, 8 September 1855, and died of his wounds in London on 15 November 1855. His brother, Ensign Albert Peachey, is recorded in the Regimental History as having died of wounds but this is probably an error of confusion.
