SUCCESSION OF HENRY IX [aka ‘The Grand Medal’], 1788, a silver medal by G. Hamerani, bust right in skull cap, chain of pectoral cross spread wide over shoulder, reverse figure of Religion with bible and Cross, standing before St. Peter’s Church in Rome, lion at feet, 53mm, 3mm thick flan (Woolf 73:1c [Sale, lot 187]; BHM 282; E. 823). Usual light die flaws in fields both sides, otherwise extremely fine and attractively toned (£150-180)
