Kanjarga Soalla served in the Northern Territories Constabulary in the Gold Coast for many years. In the Great War he was a Serjeant and is listed as having participated in the operations in Togoland from 14 August 1914 (Gold Coast Government Gazette 31 July 1915). Later, as a Provincial Sergeant-Major in the Constabulary, he was awarded the African Police Medal for Meritorious Service (Gold Coast Gazette 18 August 1923).
