Junior Infantry Officer c. 1840 - 1855 a Watercolour Drawing ‘After Thorosin’, the bust length picture shows a handsome young man wearing his scarlet coatee with gilt buttons in pairs and box epaulettes of a Battalion Company officer, 24.5 x 32 cms now contained within an ornate plaster frame, annotated in the bottom right hand corner ‘after Thorosin’, within the top of the frame a pinned white metal badge depicting the Sphinx over XX1V, on the reverse the remains of a hand written label ‘This likeness ?? an Ensign in H.M. 24th Regt. ???, slight foxing not affecting the subject with damage to the plaster frame £100-150
