A gold memorial ring, early 18th century, the glazed painted portrait depicting a cleric, wearing surplus, white bands and black stole, with full bottomed wig, mounted within gadrooned closed back setting, to plain gold D-section shank, ring head length 10.5mm, ring size M. £500-£700


Provenance: The family of Edward Whalley (c1607-c1675), the fourth regicide who signed the death warrant of King Charles I, and Thomas Percy, Bishop of Dromore, Co Down, (1729-1811) and then by descent.
