Condition Report

The principal round filigree panel is centred with a small green stone, which remains untested; it would also have been accented by four seed pearls, which are now lacking. The necklace is composed of elements from different sources, 1830s-1840s in date, with some wear, new joins, repairs and adaptations throughout. The stones are fairly well matched and quite bright, the topaz are all in foiled back settings, the pale green chysoberyls in open backed settings. Centrepiece length 21.5cm. To a matching foiled pink topaz set clasp. Gross weight 46.5gm.
