A collection of 1840s jewellery, comprising a scrolled panel brooch set with step-cut emeralds and half pearls, with chain swags below suspending matching drop (now detached), together with a two matching short sections of scroll link chain, and a pair of emerald set 1840s scroll elements later mounted on 9ct gold bar brooches. £240-£300

Condition Report

First: the central chain swag is broken and the drop detached; otherwise the condition looks OK, and the stones are bright and lively; glazed locket verso; width 45mm.
The two chain sections match and show surface wear only. The longer section has a clasp tongue at either end, chain measures approximately 70mm. The shorter section has a clasp tongue one end and a clasp mouth the other, measures 62mm.
One of the elements is slightly squashed, safety pin brooches are hallmarked.
Gross weight of lot 32.5gm.
