South Africa 1834-53 (Serjt. E. Morris. Rl. Arty.); Meritorious Service Medal, V.R. (3171 Sergt. Majr. E. Morris Coast Bde. R.A.) one letter of ‘Coast’ over-stamped, both mounted on silver pin-brooches, good very fine or better (2) £600-£700

Footnote

Edwin Morris served with 4/8th Battalion R.A. in the Kaffir War of 1850-53. He was awarded the M.S.M. with Annuity of £10 in about 1873 and was still serving in 1881. He died on 31 May 1916.
