A group of restrikes and restitutions: Louis XII, rev. crown over porcupine; Henry II, French Victories, 1552, rev. Fame drives quadriga (BMC 63); another, similar obverse, rev. cap and daggers, both 61mm; Diane de Poitiers, Duchess of Valentinois, rev. Goddess Diana tramples on Cupid, 52mm (cf. Kress 551) [4]. All 1930s restrikes, extremely fine and virtually as struck (£70-100)
Marcantonio Memmo, Doge of Venice, 1612, uniface bronze medal after G. Dupré, bust right in cap, 67mm (BMC 39 – this also c.1930); Mery de Vic, President of the Parlement de Toulouse, large uniface bronze medal, 1621, after C. Frémy, bust right in magistrate’s robes, 100mm (cf. BMC 81, 82) [2]. Both 1930s restrikes, virtually as struck (£70-90)
