Kings of Mercia, Offa (759-96), Penny, Light coinage, East Anglia, Wintred, of fa re x divided by four clusters of pellets, around circle intersected by four petals and containing four pellets around central boss, rev. pi nt rm n in runes around cross potent over inner circle, 1.12g (Chick 181 [= SCBI BM 42], same dies; N 331; S 907). Edge slightly ragged, otherwise very fine; only the second known of this interesting type, extremely rare £1,500-£2,000
